Welcome to the course. I'm Dr. Adam Vellender, and I'm module co-ordinator and lecturer for MA34110: Partial Differential Equations.
I'm very happy to answer any questions you may have regarding any aspect of the course whatsoever, be it something mathematical, course structure related, or to help with any technical problems (if I can't help, I can probably direct you to someone who can!)
I want everyone to understand the material to the fullest extent possible, so if there's some aspect of the course that you're struggling with, please do come and see me and I'll try my best to point you in the right direction.
If you email me regarding the course, I will almost always reply within one working day.
When pieces of work (e.g. Assignments) are due in, I will collect your attempts during the lectures and place marked scripts in your pigeonholes (outside room MP-3.02, Physical Sciences Building). You can also hand assignments to me in my office (Room MP-4.13, Physical Sciences Building). We'll have feedback sessions after each assignment - please give your feedback a careful read before these sessions and come armed with any questions and discussion points. Dr Gwion Evans will provide parallel Welsh-medium feedback sessions for MT34110.
I'm always particularly keen to receive any feedback you might have on any aspect of the module whatsoever, so if there's something you find useful and want more of, or something that's confusing that you'd like to be explained further, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

I have an open door policy, so feel free to come and see me about the module whenever you like (though it's probably a good idea to email in advance to arrange a time to guarantee I'm available). Feel free to grab me at the end of lectures too to ask questions.
