3D Shape Challenge

This activity is like a fun test to see how well you can combine shapes in TinkerCAD (for more information about the program please go to Introduction to TinkerCAD)

Round 1: Providing both starting shapes and the end shape

In this section you will be shown which two shape to use and the shape to try and make from them. No shape sizes have been altered in this round, but some may have been rotated.

Challenge 1:

Can you use the two shapes shown on the left of the below image to create the shape on the right?

A red cube and an orange cylinder to create a red cube with a cylindrical hole through it

Tip: You can rotate the cylinder first, or you could wait until after merging.

Challenge 2:

Can you use the two shapes shown on the left of the below image to create the shape on the right?

A green roof (triangular prism) and a red cube to create a yellow cube with a triangular notch through the top surface

Tip: Notice the end shape's colour, can you match that too?

Challenge 3:

Can you use the two shapes shown on the left of the below image to create the shape on the right?

A yellow 5 sided star prism and a blue embossed 5 pointed star to create a mauve five pointed star prism with the embossed star alligned and cut out of the surface

Tip: Perhaps using the mirror option on the top toolbar instead of rotate?
