Welcome!

Welcome to the home page of the Cardiff Octopus Sub-Aqua Club.

Who are we?

We are a small friendly club of currently about 25 members, although we are always looking for more! We meet regularly for diving and training sessions at Whitchurch High on Wednesday evenings 8pm-9pm and afterwards for a social at the Masons's Arms, Whitchurch. The National Dive Centre at Chepstow is very convenient and frequently used for open water training. We also organise regular diving trips to locations in West Wales, the South of England and periodically further afield. We are currently planning next year's big trip, which will be to the Red Sea.

We now have a brand-new dive boat Phoenix, a 5.5m RIB with 90hp Mercury outboard, GPS and VHF, which will extend the range of diving that we undertake. Purchase of this boat was funded by SportLot.

Come and learn with us!

Never dived before? No problem! Scuba diving is a sport for everyone, and we can teach you. Our club currently includes three qualified BSAC instructors. Come along for a try-dive and experience it for yourself. To find out more, please contact Simon on 029 20889867 or Mandy on 01446 746116.
