{"id":139,"date":"2010-03-10T14:27:18","date_gmt":"2010-03-10T14:27:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/users.aber.ac.uk\/rkj\/test2\/?page_id=139"},"modified":"2023-06-20T08:31:55","modified_gmt":"2023-06-20T08:31:55","slug":"weka","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/users.aber.ac.uk\/rkj\/site\/weka\/","title":{"rendered":"Weka"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Many of the fuzzy-rough feature selection measures have been ported to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cs.waikato.ac.nz\/ml\/weka\/\">Weka<\/a> &#8211; the latest standalone program (i.e. the runnable jar) is <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/17Pt_iKSM1GWhFzdMg2x5yEGu2lujvWgY\/view?usp=share_link\" data-wplink-edit=\"true\">here<\/a>, updated June 2023. (Old version Feb 2021 is <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1-Q2Lew-CJpN7B87YmnDI_hC0e26Ev4K0\/view?usp=drivesdk\">here<\/a>.) This includes several <strong>non-parametric statistical tests<\/strong> in the Experimenter: Mann-Whitney U test, Wilcoxon signed ranks test, and Friedman test with Holm&#8217;s post hoc procedure.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to process larger datasets, then you&#8217;ll need to change the Java heap size. An easy way of doing this is to put this file: <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1iJ-VADHDytWP4m7KJg2iZGy6T_YmSgDi\/view?usp=share_link\">run.bat<\/a> in the same directory as Weka (above) and double-click it. You can edit this file to increase or decrease the heap size.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the algorithms can be found in <a href=\"http:\/\/sci2s.ugr.es\/keel\/download.php\">KEEL<\/a> and some have also been ported to <a href=\"https:\/\/pypi.org\/project\/fuzzy-rough-learn\/\">Python<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/cran.r-project.org\/web\/packages\/RoughSets\/index.html\">R<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A worksheet that explains how to use Weka and several of the implemented fuzzy-rough algorithms can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1zsHnkFXU-7IfyTABBGmkA6yu1L0xgNaU\/view?usp=sharing\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/17Pt_iKSM1GWhFzdMg2x5yEGu2lujvWgY\/view?usp=share_link\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1075 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/users.aber.ac.uk\/rkj\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/weka2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"469\" height=\"232\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>FuzzyRoughSubsetEval contains various measures and the option of selecting connectives, similarity measures etc. HillClimber is similar to Weka&#8217;s Greedy Stepwise search, but allows search to a degree alpha (for alpha-decision reducts) and search using non-monotonic measures (such as VQRS). AntSearch implements ACO-based search and includes the option of using any subset evaluator for the initial heuristic matrix and subset evaluation. PSOSearch implements search based on binary particle swarm optimization.<\/p>\n<p>In the Classifiers section, there is now a range of fuzzy-rough classifiers including fuzzy-rough nearest neighbours and QuickRules.
