BlackBoard tab
The BlackBoard tab exchanges marks and student information with the Blackboard/Astra Grade Center,
via its CSV export/import format - marks are never sent to Blackboard directly.
Exporting marks to Grade Center
To get a Grade Center CSV file to work from: in Blackboard go to
Grade Center > Full Grade Center > Work Offline >
Download (leave the default options), then locate the downloaded file with the
Find/open Grade Center exported file button.
The table lists each module component (assessment or task) found in the marking scheme against a
matching Grade Center column, with a checkbox to control whether that component's marks should be
exported. Once the mappings and selections are set as required, click
Create Grade Center file to produce the file containing the
selected assignment and exam marks - this file is then imported back into Blackboard's Grade
Center (via the same Work Offline / Upload route) to complete the transfer.
Importing from Grade Center
The lower section can instead bring information the other way: choose a
component (column) from the Grade Center file and the
Task for Assignment/Exam it should become in the marking
scheme, then click Import marks or students. This can
create a new task populated with marks from Blackboard, or import a cohort's student list directly
from the Grade Center export instead of a separate student-records file.
