This site is designed to
highlight both my research interests and to "remind" students of the
content of my
lectures and tutorials. On this site you will find copies of the overheads and
slides that I have used to illustrate my handouts. Remember that I hold copies of all recommended text which
you may photocopy on request. Also,
I am happy to talk through any difficulties you have with my lecture material –
BUT not on the day before the exam –and preferably to largish groups.
I am involved in teaching the following subjects..

My research interests focus on understanding
signaling mechanisms underlying plant microbe interactions. Here are some pretty pickies to stimulate
your interest. Details on specific projects can be accessed via my “Research” website .
·
Programmed Cell Death in Arabidopsis thaliana
·
Reactive oxygen species in plant defence.
·
Systemic acquired resistance
·
Plant responses to
Magnaporthe grisea - the causal agent of rice-blast
·
Functional Genomics in Grasses
