About Robert H. Abel Page 4 of 4 Robert Abel is a writer of fiction (short stories and novels), a writing teacher and a journalist. He lives in Massachusetts and has taught in China, at the Beijing Foreign Studies University; Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut; and has prepared distance education programs for the Open University in the UK. His prolific career as a writer includes a long list of published stories and novels. His most recent work is the novel, Riding a Tiger (1998). He is also the author of the short story collections Ghost Traps (1991), which was awarded the Flannery O Connor Award for Short Fiction in 1989, and Full -tilt Boogie (1989).
