Customising osCommerce

For my customization of my osCommerce I added three products: An Ipad, a keyboard and a mouse. For the prices of these I set them all to zero as I am tweaking the little things in my online shop so I can see what’s the limit of changes that can do while not causing too much damage to it.

Ive also deleted a few items which i didn’t deem to be of worth to my site

Installing osCommerce

The installation of my osCommerce took awhile as my computer decided that it should shut it self down and then update itself, due to this part of the setup for osCommerce was corrupted so I has to start again.

Other than that I am happy with the result and I look forward to customizing osCommerce in the future, for the end of my installation i had minor permission problems and i managed to forget my  username and password so i had to find a script that could reset my information

Customizing WordPress

This post is about how I customized WordPress to my liking:

I first browsed a list of themes that I liked then picked the mantra theme, after customizing it to my liking i then proceeded to find pluging to enhance the overall feel of my page the pluging that i chose where:

  • AVH First Defense Against Spam
  • Feed Them Social
  • Floating Social Media Icon
  • Social Login
  • Spam Free WordPress
The reasons for installing these is to first avoid spammers spamming linking on my post as that can get really annoying, secondly I have a few social plugins so users can sign in with their repetitive social media to make comments.
I encountered little to no problems with my plugins except making them show properly on my webpage.
