Customizing WordPress v2.0

Hi,

I have finally made my mind with choosing theme. I started with iFuture theme  created by CyberChimps, but after an update my whole site just crushed so I was forced to change the theme but now I am happy about it. BlogLife 2.0 is very clear and easy in use theme, I customized it a bit by changing the header to my own photo (Aberystwyth’s Sunset) and scheme colour.  I also added the social buttons by which you can find me on social sites like FacebookTwitter and Google+. Moreover, You can easily follow my Twitter profile by clicking on the “follow” button situated on the right hand side.

I am also using  few plugins:

  •  AddThis - which allows visitors to share my posts on social sites like Facebook or Twitter
  •  Smart Youtube PRO - which allows me to insert and customize videos shared in my posts.

That is all for now,

Simon

People are simply amazing!

Never let go your dreams.

YouTube description :

Back in 2004, a flip on skis gone tragically wrong broke Josh Dueck’s back and left him as a T11 — full paraplegic. For the past 8 years one of his dreams has been to do a flip on snow again. On February 3, 2012, Josh became the first person to perform a backflip on snow in a Sit Ski!

Installing WordPress

Hello,

These are my first steps in blogging by means of WordPress.

The installation went pretty well except for a small problem with extracting “WrdPress3.3.1.tar.gz” to “public_html”, the file which I downloaded with incredible speed (800 B/s) was broken… Fortunately, a friend of mine had this file on his pendrive, so after a small running session I was finally able to finish installation. For this purpose I used Putty. Everything had gone well until I had to write this post (NO inspiration).

Bye for now,

Simon
