RAG Chair

Hello, I'm Jade and I'm Chair for 2007/2008. This means that I liaise with the members, the exec, the union and the local community to get the best out of RAG. I ensure that everything runs smoothly to enable RAG to raise as much money as possible.

I am originally from Buckinghamshire and am just going into my second year studying Scenographic Studies at Aberystwyth. Outside of RAG I am the Vice-President of 'Playrama' and run the local Guide unit in town. I was involved in RAG throughout my first year and had great fun! Especially the going to Cardiff for the Santa Dash and enjoying our brilliant RAG week, let's hope for loads more fun this year.

My plans for this year are to make RAG even bigger. With our amazing events calendar I will make sure we raise loads of money for charity! Our 'Charity of the Year' is one that is extremely close to my heart which means I will strive to make sure we achieve our target. To do this we need YOU! Get involved with the fun and help us run our events, and go on our amazint trips away. If that's not for you then if you see us around give generously and attend our incredible events!!! RAG Events Officer

Hey my name's Kabir and I've been elected RAG Events Officer for the year 2007/2008. My job is pretty much to help co-ordinate the events programme, from the wacky event ideas to the socials where all the RAG members can have some chill out time together!

Last year was an amazing year for RAG, and hopefully as we enter our 60th year in Aberystwyth we can all work together to make this year even more successful! I joined RAG last year during Freshers' Fair and had some amazing times and hopefully will have some more this year.

Other bits and bobs that I have to do once the events have been decided, is just getting it sorted, from finding a correct venuye to making sure it's advertised enough to trying to make it successful! Apart from being in RAG I'm going into my second year studying Computer Science before I scoot off ofr my Industrial Year!

RAG Admin Officer

Hiya, I'm Gemma, and I'm the Admin Officer for RAG.

It's my job to send out emails to all the members, take minutes for the Exec meetings and other paperwork-type-stuff (yes, that is the technical term for it!).

I'm a second year biochemistry student, which isn't as boring as it sounds, honest. It does, however, mean I'm a bit of a geek, but I'm proud of that :P

I can be a bit quiet, but I've got a reputation for being a bit random too. Outside of RAG, I like to 'socialise', and I'm a big film and music fan.

RAG Treasurer

Hi, I'm Simon, I'm studying Law and I am the RAG Treasurer. Basically I'm responsible for counting and paying in all the money we raise from events and paying it into the finance office, I also have the duty of authorising money to be paid out of the account for expenses and stuff, I'm the money man.

For the first semester of this year I'm on an Erasmus Exchange to the University of Utrecht in Holland, so you won't see me until February.

Whilst I'm away Jade will be handling all money stuff, so if you have money to pay in or expenses to claim, you should talk to her about it.

This year's RAG should be really great and we should make loads of money, I'm really looking forward to coming back to Aber to get involved again and meet all you keen new members!
