Peals and Quarters

Peals and quarter peals are essentially special bell-ringing performances. While we would normally ring for about five minutes and then stop for a break, a quarter peal lasts for around 45 minutes, and a peal around 3 hours. Quarter peals are usually rung to commemorate a special occasion, such as an anniversary or birthday. Full 3-hour peals are rarer at Llanbadarn, but up to 3 are allowed to be rung every year.
