Female Events
What are female events?
Female Events are an opportunity for the ladies of the LGBT to get together, get to know each other and have fun (not as naughty as it sounds!).
What type female events are there?
This year we are planning lots of Female Events including:
- Film Nights
- Socials (pub crawls and occasionally themed when we're feeling brave)
- Outings (bowling, cinema and possibly trips to clubs outside Aber)
- Ann Summers Parties
- Bring-your-favourite-game-and-turn-it-into-a-drinking-game nights (phew, try saying that at the end of the night!)
- And we're open to suggestions.
Isn’t this segregating the female from the males?
Well, technically yes, but it is only for the odd night every now and again. Many of the Female socials begin with the males and then we split off to have fun on our own.
In the past it has been felt that the society was male orientated and us ladies took a back seat. Now we're determined to make sure the ladies have lots of fun, and we think Female Events are a good way of doing this - in addition to events involving the whole society.
How do I make a suggestion?
We're definitely up for suggestions as the members are the most important part of the society!
