The dam of Llyn Fyrddon Fawr is on its (long) eastern side (above). It is an earth wall reinforced with stones. The outflow runs over the crown of the dam (right).
North and east of Domen Milwyn, the landscape becomes very wet. This is the source area of the Nant Milwyn.
