Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal at Llangattock.

Crickhowell and Pen Cerrig Calch seen from the Llangattock Escarpment.

The old tramway alignment leading to the mines on the escarpment (and to Eglwys Faen and Agen Allwedd caves).

Looking across Cwm Onnau at some amazing clouds.

I wish I was up there instead!

Free range chicken at Llwyncelyn farm near Llangynidr.

One of a series of manually operated locks on the canal west of Llangynidr.
Just enough space for a canal boat. Note the giant lever used to operate the gate.

Looking ahead to tomorrow's climb up Twyn Du on the other side of Talybont reservoir.1
Talybont Reservoir from the dam.

1) Another picture with a huge contrast problem. I've tried to fix it by filtering the dark foreground with an inverted copy of itself and stitch it together with the unaltered background, but unfortunately it shows.
