Looking back at Blorenge.

Sugar Loaf emerges ahead.

Sheep sheltering from the heat.

The beginning of the Bal Mawr ridge.

<- Arum, a beautiful but poisonous plant which traps insects in its flowers. When the flower withers, they get to move on, covered in seeds. There were lots of them near Patrishow, all with ripe fruit.

Bal Mawr and the massive cairn on Garn Wen1.

Looking across to Offa's Dyke path on the adjacent ridge. Capel y Ffin is in the valley in between.

Bal Mawr ridge, just before dipping down to Capel y Ffin.

Capel y Ffin, the "border chapel".

Inside the chapel.

1) I liked the image, but the only way to reproduce my memory was to combine two shots with different exposure. Unfortunately they don't line up very well.
And I'd better not touched the lens either...

This page shows my own views down the hillsides of Wales, not those of my employer. Does anyone really think the College is paying me to go walking?!?
