The contents of my rucksack for the days ahead.

A murky Cardiff bay from the starting point.

Y Senedd, the new National Assembly building awaiting its opening.

Now this begins to look like a path rather than a road!

The weir in the river Taff near Gabalfa.

Melingruffudd pump, built to supply Taff water to the Glamorgan canal.

Castell Coch, half way up the first hill.

First glimpse of the Beacons across the Rhymney valley and Caerphilly...

...and the Severn mouth opposite.

So near but seemingly unreachable... Risca.

This page shows my own views down the hillsides of Wales, not those of my employer. Does anyone really think the College is paying me to go walking?!?
