My name is Richard Jensen and I'm working as an R.A. in the Computer
Science department at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Before
this I was a Ph.D student at the University of Edinburgh. My thesis
can be found here.
I've been investigating the utility of a
fuzzy-rough approach to the problem of feature selection. The
resulting publications can be found in the Publications section. Other useful
research-related things can be seen in the Datasets and Programs sections.
Currently, I'm looking into further applications of the fuzzy-rough
technique as well as fuzzy-rough rule induction. There are also some
interesting possibilities in the area of crisp rough set-based
feature selection, so I'll be looking into this too.
Plus,
a little bit of strange science.
