• Sophos Latest IDE Library check   click on the download on IDEs later than the date of the current installed version of Sophos and save to C:\Program Files\Sophos Sweep for NT\ and reboot PC. Under the Sophos "Help", "About" should now have an updated "Total Virues" number

• Try out your Virus tester with this checker from the EICAR site http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm . This is a .com file, an ASCII file that prints "EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE" to screen when run. This should be detected by your antivirus as the EICAR virus, or some variant on that message, but it isn't actually a virus.
