The town is home to the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. The institution comprises local, national, international, traditional, and mature students undertaking courses in the arts and sciences. The students add significantly to the intellectual, cultural, and social life of the town. Many are also involved in local churches, the University Christian Union, and other Christian societies and organisations. Holy Trinity recognises that Christian students need the supportive ministry of a local church, and are an enormous encouragement and make an important contribution to its congregation. We welcome students to the family of the church in the hope that the worship, teaching, and fellowship of our relatively small and friendly membership will provide spiritual nurture, community, and practical help during their period of study here in Aberystwyth.
If you are a Fresher, a returning student, or a student who is new to or curious about the Christian faith, please make yourself known to us. You can do so when you visit or, if you prefer, through the enquiry form on the 'Contact Us' page of this site. We fully appreciate that new students, particularly during their first few months in Aberystwyth, will be 'doing the rounds' of local churches to find one in which they feel at home. We extend a warm welcome to visiting students at any time, as well as to students who would like to settle in our church family.
Occassionally, the church hosts a student lunch. This is an excellent opportunity to meet with one another. |
