I have now installed a filter that should hopefully stop all the spam post that have been happening on the posts I have made.

Customising osCommerce
Customising osCommerce was simple to do. It took me sometime to get use to where all the different options are and still confuses me now but I have managed to do what I wanted. I have added several new items including Samsung RV510-A0M Laptop PC, Apple iPad 32GB, Motorola Xoom 10.1 inch Android Tablet and Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000. I have put this all within a new category.
I also slightly customised the look of it by having some of the different option is different places. I also added a new banner to the page.
Installing osCommerce
I have just installed osCommerce and came across a couple of problems while installing this. I tried to use the wget command, like I did when installing WordPress, unfortunately this did not work as expected instead I downloaded the file, copied it to central and unzipped it.
I also could not think of a decent name so at the moment it is just called The Shop but in the future this will be changed.
Customising WordPress
After taking some time to find my way around the different options available, I customised my website to hopefully, look better and to be more linked in with social networking sites.
I used the theme “picolight”. The plugins I am using are “Google+ Plugin”, “rss Technolgy News Widget” and “Share and Follow”. These were all simple to install and use, so I did not encounter any problems with them.
Installing WordPress
I came across a few problems while setting this website up. I had to wait a while for PHP to be allowed, I received email saying it was now allowed but the error message continued to be displayed when the site is loaded.
I am still new to using the command line so had some trouble remembering the commands to use, for example the wget. After sorting out these few problems it all worked well.
