TSPP Home Page

Welcome to the TSPP home page. TSPP is a core plotting program for use on PC compatible computers. It was initially designed to plot core logs using the Troels-Smith symbol conventions.  A short article about the program was published in the newsletter of the Quaternary Research Association (Waller, Entwistle and Duller, 1995, TSPPlus - A menu driven program for display of stratigraphic data, Quaternary Newsletter, 77, 32-39).

The freeware version of this program is available below. However, please note that this program was written prior to 1995 for DOS computers. This software has not been updated since then, and so is unlikely to work on Windows based systems. People are welcome to download the software and to attempt to get it to run. The safest way of doing this is to dedicate a computer to running DOS.

Downloading a freeware copy of TSPP.

You need to download three files to run the TSPP program:-

To download these files click on the tag with the RIGHT mouse button and then save the file onto your system. If you simply click on the tag using the left mouse button as usual then you will end up with all sorts of garbage.

If you have any problems downloading these files then an alternative way to obtain them is via e-mail. To use this method please send an e-mail message to me (ggd@aber.ac.uk) with the subject 'Send TSPP' - within a day or so you will be sent the three files listed above (TSPPZIP.EXE, GSZIP.EXE and README.TXT).

If you would like to order a copy of the full implementation of the TSPPlus program then please send you order to the address below.
