About the project

CrowdsnapCymru allows users to become virtual volunteers on a range of projects. Users simply register on the website, download the app and then choose the project they want to help.

The CrowdsnapCymru app synchronises your smartphone's camera with a project-specific data entry form. Take a photo, provide some information and upload to the CrowdsnapCymru web service - it's that simple. When you login to the CrowdsnapCymru website you can see all the entries for each project, as well as your position in our Snappers' chart.

Why not create a new CrowdsnapCymru project? - if you have a project idea that could benefit by using CrowdsnapCymru, you can apply to become a Project Leader through the contact us form here.

CrowdsnapCymru is a crowd-sourcing mobile & web application designed and built in-house at the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales.

The first project to be launched using CrowdsnapCymru is "My Favourite Building". My Favourite Building is a Wales-wide project to encourage snappers to record the buildings that mean the most to them - grand or simple, large or small, we want your favourites!

A list of all projects can be found on the Projects page.
