I am a
visual semiotician based in the
Department of Theatre, Film & Television Studies of
Aberystwyth University. I am a lecturer in
Media and Communication Studies (a scheme I established here) and
webmaster of the
Media and Communication Studies Site.
I'm also a member of the
Virtual Faculty and the
Advertising Education Forum. The
second edition of my book Semiotics: The Basics was published by
Routledge
in January 2007. I am currently compiling (with Rod Munday) the Oxford Dictionary of Media and Communication.
At top right should be a current view of the seafront in Aber (when the cam's working). I am a staff member of the Student Union-based group, AberPride. When I can find time for a break I can be found around 11 am in the downstairs cafe of the arts centre - come and have a chat! |
