Chuan Lu received her MSc in Artificial Intelligence in 2000, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2005, both from the Kathlieke Universteit Leuven, Belgium. She had been a postdoctoral researcher in Department of Computer Science and IBERS Aberystwyth prior to becoming a lecturer with Aberystwyth.
Her research interests are mainly in the areas of bioinformatics, systems biology, clinical decision support, machine learning and semantic technologies. Much of her work is on managing and making sense of the data in biology and healthcare.
