Night Bus Campaign
The campaign to get a late night bus
service introduced to Aberystwyth to ferry students up and down the
hill past 6pm has had a flying start.
The campaign was launched on the 1st
November with the aid of Mark Williams MP, Kirsty Williams
AM and Jenny Randerson AM, who all took time out of their
hectic schedules to help Aber Uni Lib Dems to gather signatures up
in Pentre Jane Morgan.
Mark Williams MP said: "I was delighted to
help the student Liberal Democract group to launch the night bus
campaign... This is an important issue, in terms of student safety,
as it would help them get from town to campus safely at night."
Aber Uni Lib Dems believe that a bus
service would be more efficient, safer and cheaper for students, and
are initially looking at having the late night service on a
Wednesday night for Reload as well as on Friday and Saturday nights.
We now have several hundred signatures but
can always do with more! If you haven't already signed the petition,

Our next step is to approach the
university and bus companies in Aberystwyth to try and establish a
pilot scheme. We will keep you posted with the progress of this
