Most of the links are to full copies of the research reports for various
projects in the health sector, on health information management and knowledge
management research projects. There are impact studies (Value and EVINCE),
studies of the information needs and information seeking behaviour of health
professionals (Value, EVINCE, GIVTS), networked service evaluations (NeLH
pilot evaluation, KA24, HOWIS, SWICE-R), examination of information skills
training needs (GIVTS, KA24, SWICE-R). Knowledge management is a
theme throughout, but the communities of practice report discusses a particular
type of knowledge management, in virtual communities of practice.
The JUSTEIS link is to a special website devoted to the reports and publications
for the JISC funded monitoring and evaluation study of the use of electronic
information services in further and higher education. In 2004-5 the Specialist
Libraries within NLH were evaluated again. Training and professional development
needs for health library staff featured in two research reports, one for South
Yorkshire (training needs analysis) and the other an overview of training needs
analyses throughout the UK for the NLH. The evaluation of the North Wales
Clinical Librarian project reported in 2005.
