     UAI Request: please image or sketch the area covering part of 
     Montes Teneriffe in the viciniity of Pico B, Plato E and D. 
     The UAI are interested in confirming a suspected volcanic 
     dome-like structure in this area, observed by Maurizio 
     ecchini, a member of the UAI Lunar Section. Scopes of 4" 
     diameter, or preferably larger, should be used. Any sketches 
     or images, in the vicinity pf Pico B, Plato E and D, should be

     BAA Request: Please try to image the Moon as a very thin 
     crescent, tryimg to detect Earthshine. A good telephoto lens 
     will do on a DSLR, or a camera on a small scope. We are 
     attempting to monitor the brightness of the edge of the 
     earthshine limb in order to follow up a project suggested by 
     Dr Martin Hoffmann at the 2017 EPSC Conference in Riga, 
     Latvia. This is quite a challenging project due to the sky 
     brightness and the low altitude of the Moon. Please be very 
     careful around sunrise so as not to be observing once the Sun 
     has risen. Do not bother observing if the sky conditions are 
     hazy. Any images should be emailed to:

     BAA Request: please image this area as we want to compare 
     against a sketch made in 1854 under similar illumination. 
     However if you want to check this area visually (or with a 
     colour camera) we would be very interested to see if you can 
     detect some colour on the illuminated peaks of this mountain 
     range, or elsewhere in Mare Imbrium. Features to capture in 
     any image (mosaic), apart from Montes Teneriffe, should 
     include: Plato, Vallis Alpes, Mons Pico and Mons Piton. Any 
     visual descriptions, sketches or images of Earthshine should

2018-Jun-21 UT 20:15-20:34 Ill=65% Plato

     BAA Request: It has been noticed that a bright carterlet can 
     appear very suddenly on the floor of Plato in between needle 
     like shadows, during local lunar sunrise. This happens in the 
     space of just a minute or so, and can look really quite dramatic.
     This effect was first spotted by Brian Halls on 2014 Oct 31

     BAA Request: How early can you see the central peak of this 
     crater illuminated by scattered light off the crater's west 
     illuminated rim? High resolution and/or long exposures needed 
     to capture detail inside the floor shadow. All images should

     were successful in capturing the central peak:

2018-Jun-22 UT 21:33-00:28 Ill=75% Cichus

     BAA Request: Following an article by Nigel Longshaw in the 
     Journal of the British Astronomical Association in 2015 June 
     (p154-157), we would like to encourage sketches and images of 
     the Cichus-Weiss region of the Moon. At this particular 
     illumination you may be able to see (depending upon libration) 
     a "curved thread of light" effect extending into the night 
     side of the Moon, just north of Cichus. The effect was 
     originally detailed by Thomas Elger in a sketch from 1888. We 
     would very much like to know the duration of this effect. 
     Ideally suited for scopes of aperture 4" or larger. If 
     imaging, try over exposing slightly in order to bring ut 
     detail on the terminator. Please send any observation

     BAA Request: Can you see dark patches on the floor - how stable 
     are they in the atmospheric seeing conditions? How readily 
     visible is the central floor craterlet? Minimum sized aperture 
     telescope 4", and use a refractor if you have one? Use 
     magnifications of at least 200x to inspect the floor of this 
     crater if observing visually. Please send any sketches, images,

     ALPO Request: On 2013 Apr 22 Paul Zellor noticed that the two 
     closely spaced NW dark bands in Aristarchus had some (non-blue) 
     color to them. Can we confirm his observation of natural colour 
     here? Ideally you should be using a telescope of 10" aperture, or
