Here I will post various army lists and pieces of army based fiction. In addition I will show my tournament performances.
Note that normally when I generate an army list I use an automated generator I wrote myself, I heartily recommend making these as the time invested in making one is nothing compared to writing and rewriting times when creating an army list.
Tournament 1 - Wargaming and Role-playing Nationals 2005
Result: Won 1 battles Lost 5
Comments: Mostly this would have been down to inexperience; I deployed and conducted the battles like a moron mostly, only defeating an opponent that was even more inept than myself.
Tournament 2 - 1st Lampeter vs. Aberystwyth (2005)
Result: Won 5 battles Lost 0; Won Tournament
Comments: Made up my own tactics for this one, learning from the mistakes in other games, rolling wave and a variation of refused flank I called cloud and hammer specific to this or similar army builds.
Tournament 3 - 2nd Lampeter vs. Aberystwyth (2006)
Result: Won 2 battles Lost 1; Quarter Finals
Comments: I was overcome by what Magic the gathering players would call ‘Timmy’ mentality; I recently bought some new models and had to use them. The army composition was flawed as a result; there was little cohesion between units. It didn’t help that I hadn’t figured out how to use the new units I got.
Tournament 4 - Wargaming and Role-playing Nationals 2006
Result: Won 2 battles lost 4
Comments: Armies based solely on winning in the magic phase never work without a contingency plan, I should have forseen this having beaten armies that tried that formula before. Unfortunately I just really wanted to use that horror army I acquired….
Tournament 5 - Heat 1 of Warhammer Fantasy Grand Tournament 2006
Result: Won 2 battle Lost 4

Comments:
Rock-Paper-Scissors army, this was a light flexible fast attack army. When I
could out maneuver my opponent or charge in time it did quite well. When it
didn’t it folded into the ground, crashed and burned.
